ABOUT GET WOKE NOVA
We are an undergraduate-led campaign that aims to facilitate a more cohesive understanding about allyship by uncovering the injustices that many students face.
Our campaign began in the fall of 2017 when a group of devoted Communications seniors at Villanova University decided that there was far too little conversation among the student body about acts of discrimination at Villanova and the importance of Allyship. The campaign has since been passed down to other undergraduate students.
We continued with a strong focus on social media and have since expanded to working with several colleges at Villanova, as well as other student organizations. We partner with organizations that share our mission to facilitate relevant, impactful, and exciting campus events. Our primary goals are to encourage conversation about discrimination and injustice on campus, and to establish a more cohesive understanding of allyship and the power it can hold.
