Below are prompts you may use to guide your thought process and allow for more reflection.

1. Tell us about a time you felt alienated or discriminated against within the Villanova community. What does discrimination look like to you at Villanova? Here is an example of a story about alienation.

2. We know the word “woke” has a lot of meanings. For us, we use the phrase Get Woke Nova as a conversation starter—to begin a dialogue about injustice, equity, and allyship at Villanova. What does Get Woke Nova mean to you? Here is an example of a story about what GWN means to them.

3. The meaning of the word ally can be complicated and not everyone shares the same definition of what an ally is. What does the word ally mean to you? How have your experiences shaped that definition in your life? Here is an example of a story about the significance of allyship.

4. If you identify as underrepresented, how has being underrepresented on Villanova's campus shaped your experience of our university? Here is an example of how being underrepresented has impacted an individual’s experience.

5. There are many different kinds of privilege. We invite you to think about the privileges you or people in your community may or may not have. Tell us how privilege has played a role in your Villanova experience. Here is an example of a story about how privilege has played a role in someone’s experience.

6. Tell us about a member of Villanova's community who has challenged you to confront a bias you did not know you had. Share your thought process during that confrontation.

7. If you are reading this, you have probably read at least one story on our social media platform. We want to get a bit meta here and ask you to reflect about how hearing others’ stories have impacted you. In what ways has this process driven you toward action and allyship?

8. Think about a place on campus where you feel accepted and welcome. Share what the space is and what it means to you.
